Here are a few recipes that will keep you full during lectures, ward rounds and revision without compromising on taste, and will keep you full til’ your next delicious meal
5 Homemade Guilt-Free Snacks That Taste Guilty
Passionfruit Bliss Balls
These snack balls are delicious, passion fruit is one of the best flavours to put in energy balls as the taste is so strong and zingy. These literally take two minutes to make, however, you will need a food processor! With only a few ingredients, this is one of the easiest snack recipes out there. Take a peak at the recipe here.
Raspberry Fudge Chocolates
You may be a bit apprehensive at the soaking of the cashews, but trust me, it’s worth it. The dark chocolate coating works well with the raspberry filling. They do take a while to make as the middle needs to set but make sure you set it properly otherwise your fudge will fall apart! These are a great guilt-free dessert to finish off your meals. Banana, Yoghurt & Apple Slice
This cake is completely refined sugar free, so you don’t get the sugar crash after the high. It makes lots of slices and they are easily freezable so these will last you for as long as you can manage not to eat it all in one go. The cake is moist and the fruit makes up many of your 5 a day! Date & Peanut Bars
These bars are similar to the bars you can buy in the shops, but they are super easy to make in a food processor, you don’t even need a recipe! You just have to add an equal amount of dates and peanuts and blitz them til they make a paste, then cool them in the fridge until you are ready to demolish them! They taste like peanut butter fudge. You can cut them into bars or shape them into balls, or whatever shape floats your boat.
This ginger cake is so delicious that you won’t even notice that it’s dairy, gluten AND refined sugar free! Your biggest problem will be trying not to eat it all before it cools.
